Patent Protection & Registration

Patents grant property rights on new and useful inventions, allowing the patent holder to prevent others from using, making, or selling that invention without permission for a limited time. U.S. patents are permitted by the U.S. Constitution and are designed to promote scientific progress and invention. By allowing inventors to profit from licensing or selling their patent rights, inventors can recoup their research and development costs and benefit financially from their inventing efforts. There are three main types of patents utility, plant, and design. Utility and plant patents can last up to 20 years, while design patents can last up to 14 years. When a patent expires, the patented material enters the public domain, making it free to use by anyone without a license. U.S. patents are issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

U.S. Patent No. 11,097,795 entitled “Wear pad for a crawler track of a tracked vehicle, crawler track and construction machine” issued August 24, 2021. Invented by Stephan Drumm of Ockenfels, Germany, Peter Busley of Linz, Germany, and Cyrus Barimani of Konigswinter, Germany. Abstract: In a wear pad for a crawler track (2) of a tracked vehicle, wherein the wear pad (1) comprises an outer tread surface (14), and a bottom side (16) opposite the tread surface (14) from which at least one protrusion (30) protrudes, the wear pad (1) comprises fastening means (26) for fastening to the crawler track (2), it is specified for the following features to be achieved: that the protrusion of the wear pad (1) on the bottom side (16) features a contour which extends, at least partially, at an angle deviating from the longitudinal direction (34) of the wear pad (1).

U.S. Patent No. 11,098,460 entitled “Dry-bulk tanker, conveying system for a dry-bulk tanker, as well as work train” issued August 24, 2021. Invented by Christoph Menzenbach of Neustadt, Germany, Cyrus Barimani of Konigswinter, Germany, and Frederic Hess of Montabaur, Germany. Abstract: A dry-bulk tanker for the provision of binding agents for soil stabilization for a spreading device comprises a storage container (10) for binding agent. A mechanical conveying device (18) for conveying binding agents from the storage container (10) into an intermediate chamber (20) is connected to the storage container (10). A pneumatic conveying device (36) for conveying the binding agent to the spreading device is connected to the intermediate chamber (20). A pressure relief device (40, 41) is connected to the mechanical conveying device in order to avoid the entry of compressed air into the storage container (10). The invention furthermore relates to a conveying system for a dry-bulk tanker and to a work train for working soils with a self-propelled ground working machine and a dry-bulk tanker.
