John Bowers serves as Patterson Intellectual Property Law’s primary contact for vendor relationships. Within the Firm, he is responsible for developing and implementing the Firm’s business strategy. In addition, John oversees the day-to-day functioning of the Firm’s finance, technology, business development and marketing, facilities, attorney and staff recruitment, human resources and benefits operations.
Prior to moving to Nashville, John led Fox Rothschild’s business development projects for more than 150 attorneys. He spent 16 years of his professional career in law firm business development with Philadelphia-based firms including Saul Ewing, Duane Morris, and Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis, in addition to Fox.
He is a columnist for the American Bar Association’s Law Practice magazine, the Executive Director of the Tennessee Intellectual Property Law Association and the Treasurer of the Middle Tennessee chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators. John is also active in ABA’s Law Practice Division.
