Patent Protection & Registration
Patents grant property rights on new and useful inventions, allowing the patent holder to prevent others from using, making, or selling that invention without permission for a limited time. U.S. patents are permitted by the U.S. Constitution and are designed to promote scientific progress and invention. By allowing inventors to profit from licensing or selling their patent rights, inventors can recoup their research and development costs and benefit financially from their inventing efforts. There are three main types of patents utility, plant, and design. Utility and plant patents can last up to 20 years, while design patents can last up to 15 years. When a patent expires, the patented material enters the public domain, making it free to use by anyone without a license. U.S. patents are issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
U.S. Patent No. 12,508,602 entitled “Mobile Rock Processing Apparatus with Improved Planning of a Discontinuous Material Feed” issued December 30, 2025 to Kleemann GmbH of Göppingen, Germany. Invented by Tobias Böckle of Weinstadt, Germany and Thomas Kühnle of Kirchheim/Teck, Germany. Abstract: A rock processing apparatus is provided for crushing and/or sorting granular mineral material according to size. The rock processing apparatus comprises a material feeding apparatus including a material buffer, at least one working unit of at least one crushing apparatus and at least one screening apparatus, at least one conveyor apparatus for conveying material between two apparatus components, a control unit for controlling apparatus components, at least one sensor for detecting at least one operating parameter, the sensor being connected to the control unit for transmitting a detection signal, at least one output device for outputting information and connected to the control unit. The control unit is designed to ascertain, in an operation with discontinuous material feed, and based on the at least one detection signal, time information about a future material feed, wherein the output device is designed to output the ascertained time information.
U.S. Patent No. 12,508,599 entitled “Material Processing Device, in Particular Crusher” issued December 30, 2025 to Kleemann GmbH of Göppingen, Germany. Invented by Michael Gnam of Blaubeuren, Germany. Abstract: A crusher includes an internal combustion engine, a crusher unit and a drive train connecting the internal combustion engine and the crusher unit. The drive train includes a motor coupling, a crusher unit coupling and a motor generator. The motor generator includes a motor rotor and a motor stator. The motor rotor includes a motor generator shaft coupled to both an output end of the motor coupling and an input end of the crusher unit coupling in a rotationally fixed manner. The motor generator has a motor mode of operation in which the motor generator provides mechanical work for driving the crusher unit. The motor generator has a generator mode of operation in which the motor generator is driven by the internal combustion engine to generate electrical power.
