Patent Protection & Registration

Patents grant property rights on new and useful inventions, allowing the patent holder to prevent others from using, making, or selling that invention without permission for a limited time. U.S. patents are permitted by the U.S. Constitution and are designed to promote scientific progress and invention. By allowing inventors to profit from licensing or selling their patent rights, inventors can recoup their research and development costs and benefit financially from their inventing efforts. There are three main types of patents utility, plant, and design. Utility and plant patents can last up to 20 years, while design patents can last up to 15 years. When a patent expires, the patented material enters the public domain, making it free to use by anyone without a license. U.S. patents are issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)

U.S. Patent No. 12,654,411 entitled “Procedure for Producing a Multi-Compound Tread for Road Vehicle Tires” issued June 16, 2026 to Bridgestone Europe NV/SA [BE/BE] of Zaventem, Belgium. Invented by Enrico Fresch, Alessandra Bartoloni and Andrea Sabella all of Rome, Italy. Abstract: A process for the manufacture of a tread band, wherein the blocks thereof include different portions having differing hysteresis losses. The process includes a step for the extrusion of a preliminary tread band consisting of a first rubber compound and an injection step, wherein the preliminary tread band, once extruded, is subjected to the action of at least one injector arranged such as to penetrate into the layer of the preliminary tread band and to release a second rubber compound, which is distributed within the layer consisting of the first compound, maintaining exposed a surface that is suitable for defining a portion of the ground-contacting surface of the resulting tread band.

U.S. Patent No. 12,654,351 entitled “Circular Saws that Include Blade Mounts for Circular Saw Blades and Methods of Attaching Circular Saw Blades to Circular Saws” issued June 16, 2026 to Festool GmbH of Wendlingen am Neckar, Germany. Invented by Martin Werbach of Stuttgart, Germany and Tobias Hoefer of Urbach, Germany. Abstract: Circular saws include blade mounts for circular saw blades and methods of attaching circular saw blades to circular saws. The circular saws include a motor, an arbor, and a blade mount. The motor includes a motor shaft configured to rotate about a shaft rotational axis. The arbor is configured to receive a torque from the motor when the motor shaft rotates about the shaft rotational axis. The blade mount is operatively attached to the arbor and is configured to selectively and operatively attach a circular saw blade to the arbor. The blade mount includes an inner flange that includes an inner flange blade-contacting surface that faces away from the motor. The inner flange is free from any structure that projects away from the motor and also away from the inner flange blade-contacting surface.

U.S. Patent No. 12,656,052 entitled “Cantilever Shelf” issued June 16, 2026 to “Cantivlever Shelving Assembly” issued June 16, 2026 to Nashville Wire Products Manufacturing Company, LLC of Nashville, Tennessee. Invented by John Nicholas Phy of Pegram, Tennessee, Jammie Todd Allbert of White Bluff, Tennessee, Dorcas Jane Engelman of Primm Springs, Tennessee, Phillip Kent Rollins of Nashville, Tennessee and William Jacob Johnson of Spring Hill, Tennessee. Abstract: Disclosed herein are example shelving assemblies having cantilevered shelves. A shelving assembly can include a base having a front and a rear, as well as at least two columns extending upward from the rear of the base. The shelving assembly can also include an upper cross-support beam connecting an upper end portion of the two columns. A plurality of cantilevered support brackets can extend forwards from the columns and can support one or more shelves. The shelving assemblies can be loaded from the rear of the assemblies through a span between the columns Also disclosed herein are enclosures, such as coolers, which include a cantilevered shelving assembly according to the present disclosure.
