Patent Protection & Registration
Patents grant property rights on new and useful inventions, allowing the patent holder to prevent others from using, making, or selling that invention without permission for a limited time. U.S. patents are permitted by the U.S. Constitution and are designed to promote scientific progress and invention. By allowing inventors to profit from licensing or selling their patent rights, inventors can recoup their research and development costs and benefit financially from their inventing efforts. There are three main types of patents utility, plant, and design. Utility and plant patents can last up to 20 years, while design patents can last up to 15 years. When a patent expires, the patented material enters the public domain, making it free to use by anyone without a license. U.S. Patent No. 12,649,847 entitled “Rubber Composition, Rubber Product and Tire” issued June 8, 2026 to Bridgestone Europe NV/SA [BE/BE] of Zaventem, Belgium. Invented by Claudia Aurisicchio, Alessandra Calzetta and Raffaele Di Ronza all of Roma, Italy. Abstract: The present invention provides rubber compositions suitable for tyre manufacture comprising a functionalised polymer and a functionalised silica.
U.S. Patent No. 12,649,406 entitled “System for Transport of Dry Bulk Material” issued June 8, 2026 to Michael Taylor of Riddleton, Tennessee. Also invented by Michael Taylor. Abstract: A dry bulk material transport system for the modular transport and unloading of dry bulk material, the dry bulk material transport system comprises a transport container, a storage container, and a pneumatic bulk material outflow system. The transport container comprises a transport container shell, a transport container support frame fixed to the transport container shell, a transport container outlet disposed at a bottom of the transport container shell, and a transport container outlet valve rotatable between an open position and a closed position. The storage container comprises storage container shell, a receiving frame fixed to the storage container shell and configured to receive the transport container support frame, a storage container inlet disposed at the top of the storage container shell, and a plurality of storage container outlet valves movable between an open position and a closed position.
U.S. Patent No. 12,649,330 entitled “Flat Speaker Structure” issued June 8, 2026 to Industrial Technology Research Institute of Hsinchu, Taiwan. Invented by Ming-Daw Chen of Hsinchu City, Taiwan, Chang-Ho Liou of Changhua County, Taiwan, Kuo-Hua Tseng of Taipei County and Kuan-Wei Chen of Taichung County, Taiwan. Abstract: A speaker structure includes a membrane, an electrode which has a plurality of holes, a frame holding member and at least one set of supporting members. The frame holding member forms an exterior shape of the speaker structure and holds the membrane and the electrode at two opposite sides. Each of the set of the supporting members has a geometric structure and is placed in a space opposite to a soniferous hole region between the electrode and the membrane, so as to prevent the membrane and the electrode from contacting.
U.S. Patent No. 12,652,532 entitled “Method for Authenticating a Wireless Remote Control as A Temporary Part of a Control Device of a Rock Modification Apparatus” issued June 8, 2026 to Kleemann GmbH of Göppingen, Germany. Invented by Michael Koidis and Lukas Bräuninger both also of Göppingen, Germany. Abstract: A method for the authentication of a wireless remote control as a temporary part of a control device of a rock modification apparatus prompts an apparatus data processing device to generate a human perceptible output of a first authentication information item on an apparatus data output device. An operator inputs the first authentication information item into the remote control. A wireless communication from the remote control to an apparatus-based part of the control device is set up by the remote control in response to the first item of authentication information. The apparatus data processing device generates a second item of authentication information and transmits second item of authentication information to the remote control via the wireless communication. A wireless communication between the remote control and the apparatus-based part of the control device is established on the basis of the second item of authentication information.
