Patent Protection & Registration
Patents grant property rights on new and useful inventions, allowing the patent holder to prevent others from using, making, or selling that invention without permission for a limited time. U.S. patents are permitted by the U.S. Constitution and are designed to promote scientific progress and invention. By allowing inventors to profit from licensing or selling their patent rights, inventors can recoup their research and development costs and benefit financially from their inventing efforts. There are three main types of patents utility, plant, and design. Utility and plant patents can last up to 20 years, while design patents can last up to 15 years. When a patent expires, the patented material enters the public domain, making it free to use by anyone without a license. U.S. patents are issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
U.S. Patent No. 12,454,110 entitled “Method and System for Cleaning an Inner Surface of a Tire” issued October 28, 2025 to Bridgestone Europe NV/SA [BE/BE] of Zventem, Belgium. Invented by Alessio Ciarnella and Paolo Straffi both of Roma, Italy. Abstract: A method and system for cleaning the inner surface of a tire, comprising the steps of: emitting a laser beam that is directed against the inner surface using at least an emitter device; performing deeper cleaning within at least a first annular zone of the inner surface in applying, using at least the laser beam, to the first annular zone a first surface energy density; and performing less thorough cleaning within at least a second annular zone of the inner surface by applying, using at least the laser beam to the second annular zone a second surface energy density that is lower than the first surface energy density.
U.S. Patent No. D1,100,336 entitled “Hair Elastic” issued October 28, 2025 to Mia Kaminski of Franklin, Tennessee. Also invented by Mia Kaminski. Claims: The ornamental design for a hair elastic, as shown and described.
U.S. Patent No. 12,453,974 entitled “Rock Processing System with at Least Two Value Grain Grading Curves and Automated Operation Dependent on the Grading Curve Discharges” issued October 28, 2025 to Kleemann GmbH of Göppingen, Germany. Invented by Cyrus Barimani of Königswinter, Germany and Tobias Böckle of Weinstadt, Germany. Abstract: A rock processing system as disclosed herein includes at least one rock processing apparatus for crushing and/or sorting granular mineral material according to size, which comprises: a material feeding apparatus including a material buffer; at least one crushing apparatus; at least one screening apparatus; at least one conveyor apparatus; at least two discharge conveyor apparatuses; at least one quantity sensor for each of the at least two discharge conveyor apparatuses; a data memory (62) connected in signal-transmitting fashion to a control unit and/or to the quantity sensors for transmitting information. The control unit is designed to control an operation of at least one system component according to detection signals, which represent the discharge quantities accruing per unit of time in different value grain grading curves, and according to at least one data relationship stored in the data memory.
