Nathan combines a mechanical engineering background with deep IP expertise to represent clients in Federal Circuit appeals, patent and trademark prosecution, IP infringement litigation, and data privacy and data protection matters. His technical experience spans turbomachinery, control systems, AI, aerodynamics, 3D printing, sporting goods, construction equipment, manufacturing, and food technology.

Prior to joining Patterson, Nathan served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Raymond Chen of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is a 2017 graduate of Emory University School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Emory Law Journal.
